Do I need a finished Shopify store?
No. The audit is useful for existing stores, stores currently being built, and catalogs being prepared for migration into Shopify. You do need enough product information for us to review what is happening.
What if my files are a complete disaster?
That is not a disqualifier. It is suspiciously on-brand. Send what you have and explain what is missing in the intake. We will tell you if anything essential is needed before the review can begin.
Will you need my Shopify login?
Not automatically. We can begin with exports, links, screenshots, and files. If limited collaborator access would materially improve the review, we will explain why and ask—you should never send your password.
Can I actually use the audit to fix everything myself?
Yes—that is one of its core promises. We do not hand you a list of problems and leave you to Google what they mean. Your audit explains what needs fixing, why it matters, what order to work in, and the steps to take so you can repair the mess yourself. Hands-on implementation by Send The Mess is available, but it is never required for the audit to be useful.
What if the scanner said my catalog was clean?
The free scanner checks four specific technical problems. A clean scan does not verify your collections, tags, categories, SEO, image strategy, naming consistency, listing quality, pricing logic, or overall launch readiness.
